89-Year-Old German Twin Sisters End Their Lives Together

Twin sisters, widely known as The Kessler Twins, have tragically ended their lives together through medical aid in dying.

The pair, identified as Alice and Ellen Kessler, both 89, reportedly passed away at their home near Munich after opting for assisted dying.

According to reports by Bild, the sisters had expressed that they no longer wanted to continue living. After the procedure, authorities were notified of the incident.

In an earlier interview in April 2024, the Kessler twins told Bild that they wished for their ashes to be laid to rest on the same day. They also shared that they hoped to be buried alongside their mother, Elsa, and their dog, Yello.
