Newborn Baby Found Abandoned Inside Cement Bag in Ebonyi state

Residents of Afikpo Local Government Area in Ebonyi State were left in shock after a newborn baby was found abandoned inside a cement bag by an unknown mother.

The heartbreaking incident was shared on Facebook by a user identified as Princess Joyce, who revealed that it happened on November 13th, 2025. According to her post, the baby was discovered behind an abandoned building near Unwana Market.

Joyce explained that the infant was found alive despite being left in such a dangerous situation. Community members quickly gathered at the scene, expressing outrage and sadness over the abandonment.

She further disclosed that although the baby survived, the mother of the baby has not been found.

She wrote: “Wonders Shall Never End… A Girl in Unwana, Afikpo LGA Ebonyi State, Gave Birth to a Bouncing Baby Boy Early this Morning (13/11/2025) Wrapped it in a Cement Bag and Threw it into an Abandoned Building behind Unwana Big Market. Thankfully, the Baby is still Alive. Nawoooo people get mind. The community has been able to identify the girl responsible.
