Popular TikToker Joselyn Yahaira Hernandez Arrested for Armed Robbery

Popular Mexican TikToker Joselyn Yahaira Hernández, famously known by her nickname “La Mafias,” has been arrested after allegedly taking part in an armed robbery in Mexico City.

According to local reports, the 23-year-old influencer was accused of teaming up with a man identified as Luis Enrique Olivares to rob a woman in the Gustavo A. Madero area on Tuesday, October 14.

The pair reportedly approached the victim while riding two motorbikes and threatened her with a weapon before stealing her valuable belongings, including her phone and cash.

Police officers quickly tracked down and arrested Olivares first, before later apprehending Joselyn. During the arrest, authorities recovered the victim’s stolen items and also seized two motorbikes — a BMW and a Yamaha — both of which were found without license plates.

Both suspects have since been charged with armed robbery.

Joselyn, who gained fame on TikTok for flaunting her luxurious lifestyle, was known for her love of expensive jewelry, designer outfits, and bold streetwear.

Investigators revealed that she is believed to have ties to the criminal organization Unión Tepito, one of Mexico City’s most notorious gangs. Reports also claim she was romantically involved with one of the group’s senior members.

This is not Joselyn’s first brush with violence. In July 2022, she reportedly survived an assassination attempt in the Morelos neighborhood, when three gunmen on two motorbikes opened fire at her on the street. She managed to survive by throwing herself to the ground and crawling to safety.
