At 18, You Have No Business Living with Your Parents — Grace Ofure Advises Young People
Nigerian businesswoman Grace Ofure has stirred online discussions after saying that anyone who clocks 18 years old should not be allowed to continue living in their parents’ house.
Speaking during the latest episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Grace emphasized the importance of early independence and self-development among young adults.
According to her, “Growth begins when one steps out of their comfort zone to experience real life.” She encouraged parents to teach their children responsibility early on, explaining that staying too long under parental care can hinder personal growth.
She said: “If you’re 18 years old, you’re not supposed to stay in your parents’ house anymore. If you’re not from a rich home, let a rich home come from you.”
