100-Level Student Found Dead in Boyfriend House at Taraba State

Tragedy struck at Taraba State University as a 100-level Mass Communication student, identified as Comfort Jimtop Oliver, was found dead at her boyfriend’s residence.

Her lifeless body was discovered on Friday, September 12, 2025, inside a room located at Bakasi area near Dr. Rapha’s quarters, opposite the Vice-Chancellor’s gate.

The exact cause of her death has not yet been determined, as investigations are still ongoing.

Confirming the incident, a senior police officer involved in the case said the matter is under active investigation “By the time the matter was reported to our station which is located at the gate of the university, on our arrival, nobody was found in the house which has over 15 tenants. The owner of the room, who is believed to be the boyfriend of the deceased was not also found and is at large,” the officer said on condition of anonymity.

“We found empty bottles of hard drinks beside the bed where she died, we are currently undergoing investigation into the incident.”
