Four Men Jailed for Over 21 Years After Raiding Stores and Hiding Stolen Goods in a Graveyard

Four men have been sentenced to more than 21 years in prison for carrying out a series of high-value raids worth nearly £2 million, before stashing stolen goods in graveyards across North London and Hertfordshire.

The gang, identified as Lewis Northover, Scott Logan, Sean Bennett, and Sachon Morgan, used stolen high-powered vehicles — including a 155mph Audi RS6 and a 150mph VW T-Roc — to carry out the crimes with speed and precision.
CCTV footage revealed the group using an angle grinder to break into a Sainsbury’s store, dragging out a large bag of stolen goods before stealing cigarettes and vapes from behind the counter.

Police investigations also showed that Logan and Morgan had targeted more than 35 convenience stores, department stores, and electronics shops.
At Kingston Crown Court, the men received the following sentences:

Lewis Northover, Scott Logan, and Sean Bennett – 6 years, 9 months each for conspiracy to commit burglary and handling stolen goods (between January 2020 and September 2022, and April 2024 to January 2025).

Sean Bennett – an additional 4 years, 10 months for separate counts of burglary and handling stolen goods.

Sachon Morgan – 2 years, 7 months for conspiracy to commit burglary and handling stolen goods between April 2024 and January 2025.
The gang was finally arrested after extensive police surveillance and analysis of CCTV footage.

Det. Ch. Insp. Scott Mather of the Met’s Flying Squad, who led the investigation, said: “Northover, Logan, Bennett and Morgan were part of an organised criminal network who horrified shopkeepers and communities with a series of raids.

“They thought that acting quickly and escaping in high-powered vehicles meant that they were above the law. They were wrong.

“Their hard work shows how the force is taking the fight to criminal gangs and is committed to supporting the local communities they intimidate and threaten.
