Lady Murdered by Her Ex-Boyfriend a Year After Breakup

Tragedy struck in Lagos after a young interior designer, Deborah Moses, was brutally murdered by her ex-boyfriend, months after they ended their relationship.

The suspect, identified as Lintex, from Otukpo, Benue State, reportedly disguised as a dispatch rider to gain access to Deborah’s estate on Wednesday. Security operatives at the gate became suspicious, and when confronted, he allegedly scaled the perimeter fence and forced his way into the compound.

According to activist Meddy Olotu, the suspect initially attempted to sabotage the gas pipeline outside Deborah’s apartment, apparently to cause an explosion. When that failed, he climbed into her residence, attacked her with a kn!fe, and inflicted fatal w*unds.

Deborah’s sister revealed that the pair had broken up over a year ago, but Lintex allegedly continued to harass her and issue threats. She added that Deborah — who had recently completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and was building a career in interior decoration — had repeatedly ignored his persistent calls and advances.

Neighbors who heard the commotion rushed to the scene, overpowered the suspect, and handed him over to the police.

she said: ““They have broken up for more than a year now, but this guy refused to move on. He keeps making statements like, ‘If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I don’t marry you, bl**d will flow,’”

“She was only trying to find her feet when this tragedy struck,” the sister said.
