Daniella made the allegations in a series of posts shared on her Instagram Stories, explaining that she had remained silent for three years because she wanted to protect her husband’s reputation.

According to her, she continued to endure the situation privately until she reached a point where staying silent no longer protected either her or her child.

In her posts, Daniella said she deliberately chose not to speak publicly about what she claimed had been happening in their marriage.

She explained that her silence was motivated by a desire to shield David’s reputation, even as she said she was personally dealing with the consequences of the alleged abuse.

However, she said she eventually decided to speak out after concluding that remaining quiet was no longer protecting her or her child.

The allegations have brought attention to the private difficulties she says she experienced during the marriage.
Daniella also said the matter had been formally reported to the Lagos State Police Command’s Gender Unit.

She further stated that the United States Embassy and Canadian Embassy had also been contacted regarding the matter.

According to her, she has photographs and video footage relating to the allegations, which she says can support her account of what she experienced.

Rodríguez said the wedding was exactly what she had envisioned and admitted that she struggled to hold back her tears during the emotional moment.

‘It was exactly as I’d imagined it,’ said Rodriguez, admitting that she ‘couldn’t hold back the tears’.
According to Jornal de Notícias, a copy of the couple’s marriage certificate showed that only four witnesses were present during the ceremony, alongside their children.

Reports also claimed that Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, and his siblings, Hugo, Elma and Katia, were not present at the ceremony and reportedly only learned about the wedding shortly before it took place.

“Because castles, houses, islands, horses, cars: we have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate – that’s more unusual for us.”

For the couple, the decision to keep the ceremony private allowed them to focus on their family rather than the size or spectacle of the occasion.

Ronaldo also spoke about what becoming a husband could mean for his life and whether marriage would change his relationship with Rodríguez.

He said: “‘Just the fact of being man and wife – you enter a different league…… going on to say this is probably his last year of football’, so his future is all mapped out’ as he commits to spending more time with his family… not even ruling out the possibility of another child.

‘‘Another baby now would be overbooking at home. But when the youngest are 15 or 16, we’ll still be young, so why not? It’s true that I can’t imagine myself without small children, so we’ll see” said Rodriguez.

Ronaldo also made it clear that he remains open to whatever the future may bring.
