39-Year-Old Man Attacks Wife with H**mmer After Accusing Her of Cheating for Refusing Intimacy

A 39-year-old Ghanaian gold dealer, Osman Mumuni, has allegedly assaulted his fiancée, Bariskisu Abdullah, with a hammer after accusing her of infidelity. The shocking incident reportedly occurred in Kasoa, Ghana, during the recent Eid-Fitr celebration.
Bariskisu, who lost consciousness during the attack, was rushed to the hospital where doctors revealed she had suffered memory loss, a fractured skull, and broken teeth.

Speaking to Crime Check TV GH, she narrated that the attack happened while she was asleep. Osman allegedly sneaked into her room at night and struck her with a hammer. When she later returned home, she reportedly found his slippers, bloodstains, and the hammer used in the assault.
According to Bariskisu, Osman later used her parents’ phone number to reach her, begging for forgiveness and admitting to the assault. He, however, denied using a hammer, claiming he only attacked her with his hands.

Despite this, he admitted his actions were fueled by suspicions of infidelity, adding that he had financially supported her by renting a GHS 6,000 room, buying her a phone, giving her GHS 500 weekly and GHS 100 daily for upkeep.

Bariskisu denied cheating, explaining that she refused intimacy because they were not yet married. She also clarified that the phone calls Osman suspected were simply from her business customers.
The incident has since been reported to the Kasoa Police, and investigations are ongoing. Osman has reportedly promised to cover her medical expenses.
