Couple Arrested by Police for Faking Their Child Kidnap After M!rdering Him

Authorities in California have arrested the parents of baby Emmanuel Haro, who was initially reported kidnapped last week, only to later be confirmed dead.

In the early hours of Friday, Jake and Rebecca Haro were taken into custody at their apartment in Cabazon. Both have been charged with murder.

Their arrest follows a week-long search after the couple told police on August 14 that their baby had been snatched outside a sporting goods store in Yucaipa.

Police later released footage showing the couple being escorted into a cruiser. Rebecca, dressed in black shorts and a white tank top, appeared expressionless and shiverless during the arrest.

The County Sheriff’s Department shared in a statement saying: “Based on the evidence, investigators determined a kidnapping in Yucaipa did not occur. It is believed Emmanuel is deceased, and the search to recover his remains is ongoing,”
