Nigerian transgender personality Jay Boogie has reacted to the viral private video involving fellow transgender woman Michael Joan.

In a series of posts shared on his Instagram page, Jay Boogie spoke against the humiliation, intimidation and blackmail that transgender women may face, particularly when private moments are exposed without their consent.

A 29-year-old mother of four, Madison Rei, has shared her experience after losing most of her hearing shortly after giving birth to her fourth child.

Madison said she initially believed the problem was connected to hormonal changes after childbirth and expected her hearing to return to normal. However, the condition continued to worsen and soon began affecting almost every part of her daily life.

She said:

“I couldn’t hear my baby if she cried.

“I had to be in the room with her, watching her, at all times when my partner wasn’t home

“I was terrified.

“I thought of losing my hearing completely and never getting to hear my children’s voices again.

“I thought of not being able to work and what that would mean for my family.”

Madison, who has children aged nine, eight, six and 18 months, said she had a normal and low-risk pregnancy before giving birth to her youngest child in February 2025.

However, just a few days after giving birth, she noticed something unusual.

She recalled:

“A few days postpartum I was sitting on the couch and suddenly heard this super loud ringing in my ears.

“I Google’d it immediately and decided it was a normal, temporary postpartum symptom that can stem from hormones.

“But it didn’t go away and I started noticing significant hearing loss.

“I was having trouble hearing my kids. I would have to be right next to them and try to read their lips in order to understand what they were saying.

“My older children became aware pretty quickly that they needed to walk up to me, tap my shoulder, and look at me when they spoke to me.

“They were great at that, and I was so grateful.

“But even then, there were many times when they repeated themselves several times and I still couldn’t understand.

“It took a huge amount of energy to try and understand what everyone needed, and it was all very draining.

“It affected every aspect of life.”
As her hearing continued to deteriorate, Madison began changing the way she went about her everyday activities.

She said she started going to the gym very early in the morning when there were fewer people around because she was worried that others might think she was deliberately ignoring them when they spoke to her.

She also avoided fitness classes because she could not hear the instructors properly.

She said:

“I also started going to the gym early in the morning when no one was there because I didn’t want people thinking I was ignoring them when they tried to talk to me.

“I wanted to join various fitness classes but didn’t because I wouldn’t be able to hear the instructor.

“When people talked to me, I could only say ‘what’ or ‘can you repeat that?’ before it started to feel embarrassing and I would just pretend I’d heard.

“It was really hard to make and maintain relationships.

“It was extremely depressing.”
Madison said she received help from members of her family while she struggled with her hearing.

She explained that she is divorced from the father of her first three children, and they were still working out a custody arrangement. The children spent some time with her and some time with their father and his parents.

She said they were very supportive and flexible whenever she needed additional help.

Her fiancé, Tim, also stayed by her side throughout the difficult period.

She said:

“My first three kids’ father and I are divorced, and we’re still working on creating a custody arrangement that we can agree on, so the kids were with me some of the time, and with him and his parents some of the time.

“They were a massive help, being super flexible with me when I needed extra help.

“My fiancé Tim was also there with me every step of the way.

“I rarely had to ask him to repeat himself and he took care of the kids whenever he could.”
A hearing test later showed that Madison’s hearing was far below the normal range, leading to a referral to an ear, nose and throat specialist.

However, she was faced with a waiting list of more than six months and became worried that her hearing could deteriorate even further before she received specialist care.

She eventually saw Dr Daniel Lee at Proliance Surgeons Puget Sound Ear Nose and Throat, who suspected that she had otosclerosis.

Madison was initially advised to consider hearing aids and return for another hearing test after several months.

By the time of her next appointment, however, her hearing had become so poor that hearing aids were no longer considered suitable. Surgery was recommended instead.

She explained:

“Otosclerosis is an abnormal condition where the stapes bone becomes locked in place.

“This condition is most common in women experiencing hormonal changes, or who have a genetic predisposition – which I do not.”
Madison Undergoes Two Surgeries

Madison underwent surgery on her worse ear in January 2026, almost a year after giving birth.

She said:

“Dr Lee needed to see my inner ear bones in order to make an official diagnosis.

“By the time of surgery, my hearing was almost completely gone.

“There were certain sounds I could hear okay, and some that I couldn’t hear at all.

“Dr Lee recommended I get the worse ear done first, then wait four months for it to heal fully before getting my second ear done.

“I had my first surgery in January 2026, almost one year postpartum.

“And Dr Lee confirmed that it was otosclerosis.

“Four months later, I got my hearing tested again, and found that my post-surgery ear could now hear in the normal range.”

After seeing improvement in her first ear, Madison underwent surgery on her second ear in June 2026 and is still recovering.

She said her hearing was absent for the first few weeks after the operation before gradually returning.

She said:

“I couldn’t hear at all for the first few weeks post-surgery, then my hearing started to come back very rapidly after that.

“Suddenly everything sounded so loud to me

“That’s also when the ear ringing stopped, which was a huge relief.”
Looking back at everything she went through, Madison said the experience left her shaken but also made her appreciate her family and her senses more.

She said:

“Most of the things I love involve interaction with other people.

“I wondered if my family and friends would learn sign language for me and how much my life would change.

“Now I’m more aware of how powerful and strong moms are, and how much we go through while making it look easy.

“I hope I can create more awareness for the things that moms go through.

“I’m just so grateful for everything I have in life, especially my senses.

“I recognise that everything can change at a moment’s notice.”

The first wife of popular Delta businessman Chief Lawrence, Emerald Ibisobia, has taken to social media to call out her husband over his refusal to pay their children’s school fees.

In a post shared on social media, Emerald revealed that Chief Lawrence has refused to pay the school fees of their children, which she said runs into millions of naira.

A video circulating online has captured the moment a woman had her head shaved after she was accused of attempting to leave a bar in Thailand without settling a large bill.

The incident was reportedly recorded in the Pinklao area of Bangkok, where the woman was said to be known for allegedly leaving clubs and restaurants without paying her bills.

According to reports, the woman used a fake identification document to gain entry into a popular bar on August 25.

She allegedly accumulated a bill of 60,000 baht, equivalent to about $1,812.25, before attempting to leave the establishment without paying.

However, staff members reportedly stopped her before she could leave and demanded that she settle the outstanding bill.

When confronted, the woman allegedly told the staff that she did not have money to pay.

Instead of handing her over to the police, the woman reportedly agreed to have her head shaved as an alternative to settling the bill.

A video of the incident showed a man appearing to shave the woman’s hair while another person recorded the encounter.

During the incident, the man behind the camera could be heard saying:

“I am not taking advantage of you. This is the market rate. I will attach this for you. I am adding extra for this as well. Okay?”

A 68-year-old British woman has spoken out after her 31-year-old Nigerian husband reportedly disappeared after moving to the United Kingdom, leaving her struggling to locate him so she can proceed with their divorce.

Dawn Otewell said she met Bright Emokpae, from Edo State, Nigeria, on a dating app while she was feeling lonely and depressed.

Despite being 36 years older than Bright, Dawn said he professed his love for her and made her believe his feelings were genuine. She eventually gave the relationship a chance.

However, four years after their marriage, Dawn says she is now worried about her children’s inheritance because Bright has disappeared and refuses to sign divorce papers.

The grandmother of seven said she is also battling health problems, including heart disease, sciatica, angina and IBS, and fears what could happen to her estate if she dies before the marriage is legally ended.

Dawn said she has been unable to locate Bright so she can serve him with the necessary divorce documents.

“It’s an absolute nightmare,” Dawn, from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, told The Sun UK.

“I’m still his legally married wife, but apparently, l have no right to know where he is.

“He’s done a runner and is refusing to sign the divorce papers because I believe he wants to cling on to his spouse visa.

“I haven’t spoken to Bright since he blocked me on social media about eight months ago.

“Our last conversation was when I told him: I know you’ve moved house and left your job and I don’t care; I just want you to sign the divorce papers.

“He replied: ‘I don’t have them anymore. I’m not going to sign them.

“In the meantime, my health is not good.

“My biggest fear is that l’I die before this is sorted out and he’ll run off with the money my three children should inherit.”

Dawn, who has not written a will, said she is worried Bright could become entitled to some of her possessions, including jewellery, cash and furniture.
Dawn said she joined dating platforms Tinder and Plenty of Fish in 2021, where she met Bright.

According to her, Bright initially introduced himself as a professional in his thirties named Brian Thomas. After they moved their conversations to WhatsApp, he told her that his real name was Bright, that he was a fashion student and that he was in his mid-twenties and from Benin, Nigeria.

Dawn said she forgave him for initially lying about his identity and age because she had fallen in love with him.

She said Bright regularly complimented her during their video calls and made her feel attractive again.

In March 2022, about eight months after they first met online, Dawn travelled to northern Cyprus, where Bright was living on a student visa.

“I know I was a fool, but I was in love,” Dawn said of her decision.

“When I met Bright, he made me feel special and alive.

“He told me I made his heart go ‘boom boom’ and I was the loveliest woman he ever met.

“He made me feel attractive again.”

She added: “I knew he was a bit young. The lies he told me about his name and age should have been two massive red flags.

“But he was romantic and persuasive.”

Dawn and Bright married at a registry office in Nicosia on March 22, 2022. Two of Bright’s Turkish friends reportedly acted as best man and maid of honour.

Their wedding certificate showed that Bright was 27 at the time and described as a student, while Dawn was listed as a 64-year-old single housewife.

Dawn said she initially planned to stay in Cyprus for two weeks but remained for a month after Bright asked her to miss her flight and begged her to marry him.

“I stayed in Cyprus for a month with Bright, but I would not call it a honeymoon. It was supposed to be two weeks, but he asked me to miss my flight, and he begged me to marry him. He said he loved me and I believed him.”

After returning to Dewsbury, Dawn said Bright travelled back to Nigeria to arrange his spouse visa to join her in Britain.

The visa was eventually approved about a year later, and Dawn travelled to Heathrow Airport to welcome her husband.
Dawn said she tried to help Bright settle into life in Britain, while her brother Rory, 72, helped him secure a manufacturing job at a door company.

However, she said Bright later became distant and began making financial demands, telling her that he was in debt because of expenses from their wedding.

Dawn also said he did not contribute financially to their household and regularly sent money to Nigeria.

“He was sending a lot of money back home to Nigeria.

“I got all-new furniture, and he didn’t put a penny towards it. When we went out for dinner, it was usually me picking up the bill.”

The couple eventually separated in October 2023 but reunited six months later after Dawn received a £63,000 payout following complications from a prolapse operation at an NHS hospital.

Looking back, Dawn said she now regrets taking Bright back after receiving the money.

“I should have worried he was only after my money when we got back together.

“Bright’s eyes must have lit up when he found out I had received so much.

“Whenever we went out to the cinema or for a meal, he made sure it was always me paying.

“I know I shouldn’t have taken him back, but I wasn’t happy being on my own again, and he insisted his intentions were honourable – that he had changed.”
The relationship continued to face difficulties, and shortly before Christmas 2024, Dawn went on a £2,000 Caribbean cruise with her brother.

She said Bright became angry because he believed she should have given him the money to help clear his debts.

After she returned from the cruise, Dawn said Bright left the home and never came back.

She believes he is now living in Scotland, where he appears to have started an online clothing business advertised on social media.

Dawn said she believes Bright’s immigration status is one of the reasons he has refused to proceed with the divorce.

“I know I never should have fallen for him in the first place.

“I’m convinced he was never in love with me and just wanted a visa to move to England.

“And it’s because of his cherished spouse visa that he won’t agree to a divorce.

“I know Bright needs to stay in the UK for another two years before he’s entitled to settle permanently – he’s been here three years.

“I’m getting help from the Citizens Advice Bureau, but it’s taking forever because they need to find out where he’s living.

“I just want him out of my life for good.

“Ialso want people to know that if this can happen to me it can happen to anyone.

“I would advise them to be very careful who they marry, especially when the person is from abroad, because a lot of them are just doing it for a visa – and then they disappear.

“I feel I’m being used.”

A Woman has taken to social media to express her frustration after a tattoo artist gave her a completely different design from the one she requested.

Sharing his ordeal on Facebook, the man explained that she had shown the tattooist a clear reference image of what she wanted. Despite having previously worked with the same artist without issues, this time she was left deeply disappointed.

A Nigerian transgender person has taken to social media to cry out after a private video was leaked online following a visit to a man they reportedly met through social media.

In a video shared online, the individual could be seen crying and expressing distress over the incident, saying they had been unable to sleep and had spent hours crying. See here

He also spoke about the mockery they had faced online, particularly comments from people questioning their gender identity.

According to the account shared in the video, the incident happened after he visited the man they had met on social media.

They claimed that the man wanted to have sexual intercourse with them without their consent after they had refused, explaining that they had an infection around their private area.

The individual further alleged that the man became angry after he refused to have s&x and called his brothers, who allegedly participated in stripping them n&ked.
