We Have Not Received the $100K Federal Government Promised Us – Super Falcons Captain Laments
Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, has revealed that the team is still waiting to receive the $100,000 cash prize, a three-bedroom apartment, and other rewards the Federal Government promised them following their victory at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Speaking during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Ajibade expressed her disappointment over the delay in fulfilling the pledges.
When asked by Chude, “Have they delivered the $100,000?”, she replied:
“We have not received our money, but hopefully, it would be paid. They have not paid; all the promises, we have not received anything.”

Super Falcons Star Rasheedat Ajibade Signs Two-Year Deal with PSG Feminine
Super Falcons Striker Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade has officially signed a two-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain Féminine, joining the French giants as a free agent after leaving Atlético de Madrid at the end of last season.
The deal, announced by PSG on Tuesday morning, will keep the 25-year-old Nigerian international at the club until June 30, 2027.
In their official statement, PSG said: “Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the arrival of Nigerian striker Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade, who has joined the club on a deal that runs until 30th June 2027.”
Confirming the news, she wrote: “I’m deeply honoured to be joining Paris Saint-Germain, a top-drawer club in Europe.
“This is a major step for me, and I’m committed to giving my all to help PSG win titles and to inspire young footballers, be they in Nigeria or elsewhere.”
