Man Dies After Failed Hair Transplant in Turkey
A British man, Martyn Latchman, has tragically passed away following complications from a hair transplant procedure in Istanbul, Turkey.
According to reports, Martyn, who had recently transitioned from a 16-year teaching career to become a defence contractor, underwent a £1,500 hair transplant last week. Unfortunately, the procedure turned fatal.
The procedure was reportedly carried out by Dr. Cinik, a well-known name in the field, who had also previously performed the same operation on former England and Manchester United footballer, Rio Ferdinand. However, the cause of Martyn’s sudden deterioration remains unclear.
After showing signs of illness post-surgery, Martyn was rushed to a nearby hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit, where he died a few days later.
Since his passing, his body has been repatriated to the UK for further investigation and funeral arrangements.
Confirming the tragic news, a spokesperson for the UK Foreign Office said: ““We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Turkey and are in contact with the local authorities.”
