A video has gone viral online capturing the extraordinary moment Russian doctors continued performing surgery during a powerful earthquake.
The incident occurred at the Kamchatka Oncology Clinic earlier today, Wednesday, July 30, when an undersea earthquake measuring 8.8 on the Richter scale struck the Kamchatka Peninsula.
Despite the tremors shaking the operating room, the surgical team remained composed and focused, refusing to halt the life-saving procedure.
According to Oleg Melnikov, head of the region’s Ministry of Health, the patient remained stable and is doing well post-surgery.
