I Gave Her the Job But She Does not Go to Work – Tyler Perry Reveals He Fired His Aunt and Cut Off Family to Stabilize His Finances

Filmmaker and billionaire media mogul Tyler Perry has opened up about a difficult but necessary decision he made on his journey to financial freedom—cutting off some family members, including firing his own aunt.

During an appearance on the YouTube series “Den of Kings,“ hosted by Kirk Franklin alongside guests Derrick Hayes and rapper Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins.

 He said: “She said she wanted a job. She would always call asking for money, I would send her the money.

“I said, ‘Listen, I want to help you. I want to help you build this thing, not be welfare to you. So, let me give you a job.’”

He shared that when he employed his aunt, she was not coming to work which made him to fire them instantly.

‘Well, you gotta go,’”

“Because you want me to hand you the money, but you don’t want to work for it. See, that doesn’t work for me.”

Speaking on how he is giving his son the same mentality, he added saying: “I don’t believe in giving us things that are just going to handicap us.

“That is the worst thing you can do.”
