Saudi Sleeping Prince Al-Waleed bin Khalid Al-Saud Dies After 20 Years in Coma
Prince Al-Waleed bin Khalid Al-Saud, popularly known as the “Sleeping Prince,” has passed away after spending nearly two decades in a coma. He died at the age of 35, following complications from a severe car accident that occurred in 2005 when he was just 15 years old.

Al-Waleed, the son of Prince Khaled bin Talal Al Saud, had been in a persistent vegetative state since the accident and remained on life support in a hospital for 20 years. Despite occasional signs of slight movement over the years, he never regained full consciousness.
Announcing his son’s death, Prince Khaled shared an emotional tribute on social media, saying: “O reassured soul, Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], And enter among My [righteous] servants, And enter My Paradise.

‘With hearts believing in Allah will and decree, and with deep sorrow and sadness, we mourn our beloved son: Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah have mercy on him, who passed away today”
