Pakistani Journalist Swept Away by Flood During Live Broadcast

A chilling video has gone viral showing the moment a Pakistani journalist was swept away by powerful floodwaters while reporting live from Kot Chatta, an area severely impacted by recent floods.

The footage, shared by Al Arabiya English on Facebook, captures the journalist standing waist-deep in floodwaters, holding a microphone and attempting to deliver a live report. Only his neck and face were visible above the rushing water before he suddenly lost his balance and was carried away by the current.

The incident occurred amid ongoing heavy monsoon rains that have battered Pakistan since June 26th. According to official reports, the floods have claimed at least 116 lives, injured over 250 people, and destroyed hundreds of homes and vast stretches of farmland.
