Tragedy struck the entertainment world as American Idol executive Robin Kaye and his wife Thomas DeLuca were found dead in their $5 million Encino home in Los Angeles on Monday, July 14, 2025.
According to DailyMail, LAPD officers responded to a welfare check at around 2:33 p.m., after neighbors reported not seeing the couple for four days. Upon arrival, officers noticed bl**d near the entrance and were forced to break a window to enter the residence—where they discovered both couples with g-nshot wounds to the head.
Neighbors also reported seeing an armed individual hopping a fence in the area shortly before the discovery, raising suspicions of a possible home invasion or targeted attack.
A spokesperson for the LAPD told DailyMail:: “We are devastated to hear of Robin and her dear husband, Tom’s, passing.
“Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her.
“Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time”
