Nigerian Man Accused of Bigamy After Secretly Marrying Another Woman in Nigeria, Abandoning Wife and 4 Kids in the U.S

A Nigerian man, Goodluck Ikevhukwu Nshi, originally from Ishielu Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, has been accused of bigamy after allegedly marrying another woman in Nigeria without informing his wife and four children in the United States.

According to reports, both Nshi and his first wife—who are said to be nurses based in the U.S.—had been experiencing marital difficulties, primarily due to his repeated acts of infidelity. The situation escalated in February 2025 when the wife filed for divorce, although the couple continued to live together under the same roof as estranged partners.

Sources claim that Nshi made several unsuccessful attempts to convince his wife to withdraw the divorce proceedings in the U.S. Afterward, he reportedly filed for divorce in Nigeria without informing her, allegedly as a strategy to avoid financial and parental responsibilities.

In June 2025, Mr. Nshi is said to have returned to Nigeria and gave a testimony related to the divorce case on June 13. Shockingly, just one day later—on June 14—he reportedly got married to another woman.

It has been alleged that the woman he married was his mistress, whom he met during a 2022 trip to Nigeria under the pretense of attending a professional conference. According to sources close to the situation, Mr. Nshi misled people by claiming that his wife had abandoned him and taken their children, omitting any mention of his alleged infidelity.
