34-Year-Old Nigerian Woman Arrested in Mumbai with Coc*ine Worth Over ₦254 Million
A 34-year-old Nigerian woman, Yenna Christina Idowu, has been arrested by the Versova Police in Mumbai, India, on suspicion of dr*g tr*fficking after she was found in possession of cocaine valued at over ₦254 million (approximately Rs 1.42 crore).

Her arrest took place in the early hours of Monday, June 30, 2025, after police observed her behaving suspiciously around 3 a.m. in the Old MHADA area of Andheri West. Upon stopping her, officers — along with a female personnel present — conducted a search of her belongings and discovered 30 capsules containing a total of 418 grams of coc**ine.
During interrogation, Idowu disclosed that she is originally from Ondo State, Nigeria, and currently resides in Noida, India.

Police have launched a investigation to uncover the full extent of the drug network. Authorities are working to identify the source of the cocaine and determine to whom the drugs were to be delivered.
A formal complaint has been filed against her under several provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. She remains in police custody as further legal proceedings are underway.
