incident has occurred at Gyutiev Model College, located in Saghev Ward, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, where final-year students reportedly set their principal’s house ablaze.

According to reports, the incident happened in the early hours of Friday, following the students’ discovery that their principal, Mr. Isaac Yina, had allegedly failed to register them for the 2025 NECO examinations despite collecting the registration fees.

Sources claim that Mr. Yina received ₦85,000 each from 178 students, totaling over ₦15 million, for the purpose of registering them for the National Examinations Council (NECO). However, the students were shocked to learn that no registration was carried out, and their names were missing from the official NECO register.
