Premature Baby of Brain-D£ad Woman Adriana Smith Born at 25 Weeks

In a heartbreaking yet hopeful turn of events, the premature baby of Adriana Smith — the woman who was declared brain dead earlier this year — has been born.

It will be recalled that Adriana had complained of severe headaches and was taken to the hospital, where she was given medication without undergoing a CT scan. Unfortunately, her condition worsened, and she was later declared brain dead. READ HERE

According to a report by 11 Alive News, Adriana was kept on life support to sustain her unborn child. On June 13th, doctors performed an emergency C-section and successfully delivered her baby boy at just 25 weeks gestation.

The baby, named Chance, is currently in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where he is being closely monitored and receiving special care.
