World’s Tallest Woman forced to pay for 6 seats, Placed on stretcher on plane due to her extreme height

Rumeysa Gelgi, officially the world’s tallest woman at an impressive 7 feet 0.7 inches, has shared the unique challenges she faces when traveling. She recently revealed that she’s forced to purchase a remarkable six airplane seats just to accommodate her extraordinary height.

Gelgi, who had expressed a desire to visit many countries for her upcoming 28th birthday, has found that getting around by car, plane, or any other mode of transportation is far from easy. To make air travel possible, she must be placed on a stretcher within the aircraft.

Speaking about her struggles, she tolf whatsthejam: “At times, it’s upsetting to hold myself back from visiting remarkable places and experiencing the richness of history.

“It can be frustrating knowing that the only thing standing in the way is the lack of accessibility. My top priority is always safety; not just to protect my wheelchair, but also to prevent any harm to myself.

“With spinal implants, even a minor fall could be extremely dangerous. Unless proper access is available, I choose not to take any unnecessary risks.
