Chizoba Ejiofor, a brilliant graduate from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), who made headlines after being denied a ₦50,000 prize despite finishing as the best-graduating student with a CGPA of 4.98, has now received a life-changing opportunity.

She has been awarded a fully funded Commonwealth Scholarship worth £33,000

The news was shared by Alex Onyia, CEO of Educate, on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account.

Writing he wrote: “I have a good news. A very good news. You remember Chizoba Ejiofor who graduated as UNN overall best graduating student with CGPA of 4.98, that UNN refused to fulfill the N50k price promised to him? I took him up as a full responsibility. We started working tirelessly together since last year to secure a fully funded scholarship, and today we have the good news. This is fully funded scholarship from commonwealth. Over 33 thousand pounds in scholarship, flight tickets and monthly stipends inclusive. No one can describe how happy and fulfilled I am today.”

A Nigerian woman named Dimma has taken to social media to plead for justice after allegedly suffering domestic violence at the hands of her husband, Nnamdi Michael.

In a series of emotional posts shared on TikTok, Dimma recounted her story, starting from how she met Nnamdi. According to her, their paths first crossed in 2016 while she was posted to Lagos for her one-year internship at GTBank.

During that time, Dimma also ran a small business to support herself. She explained that a close friend of hers frequently came to Lagos to supervise the offloading of imported used electronics, brought in by her husband. One day, the friend invited Dimma to accompany her to the market where they met the man who would later become her husband.

After they returned from the market, her friend informed her that the man—Nnamdi—was interested in her and had already been given her phone number. Dimma said she felt uneasy about him from the beginning and told her friend that her spirit didn’t accept him.

Despite her initial hesitation, she agreed to meet with Nnamdi a few times, during which she claims he behaved inappropriately. Eventually, she blocked him. However, she later received a call from his brother in Spain, asking her to give him another chance. Nnamdi allegedly promised to wait for her to finish university and not pressure her into marriage.

A woman has turned to social media for support after revealing that she no longer feels in love with her husband.

In an anonymous post shared on Reddit, she explained that she and her husband have been married for two years and share a 2-and-a-half-year-old child. She described her husband as a good man—handsome, caring, and everything many women would dream of in a partner.

Despite all his positive qualities, she admitted that her feelings for him have faded.

She wrote: “I’m not in love with my husband anymore and I don’t know why.

I don’t get it. My husband is a fantastic man. He works hard. He’s cute, handsome, fit. He’s funny.

But I just am not in love with him anymore?

I’ve been feeling this way for at least two years (married 4). We have a 2 and a half year old. He’s just the best dad, everything I wished my dad could’ve been. I feel guilty, I feel like this is self sabotage, like my brain says I’m not worthy of this stability. I don’t know why. I’ve been going to therapy every other week for 6 months now. I want to be in love with him, why am I trying to ruin this?

I’m torn because I want him to be with someone he feels truly loves him. He has, twice over the past year, sat me down and told me he feels like I’m being weird and distant. I swear up and down I’m not, because I’m not trying to be! But now I’m realizing maybe I am and I’ve been completely dismissive of him and I want him to be happy, but I can’t even recognize when I’m being distant.

Two couples in Indonesia have been publicly flogged with 100 lashes after being caught having affairs outside of marriage.

The incident took place in Aceh province on Wednesday, where Sharia law is strictly enforced, making it the only region in Indonesia that permits public caning as punishment for moral offenses.

According to local reports, the men and women stood before a crowd as religious police carried out the punishment using sets of rattan canes. Each of the couples received 100 lashes, a penalty reserved for adultery under Aceh’s Sharia code.

The scene also involved three other men who were flogged 49 times each after being found guilty of gambling and consuming alcohol, both prohibited under the Islamic law observed in the region.

An ancient natural site once dubbed “a wonderland on Earth” — and believed to have inspired the world of Avatar — has reportedly been found in a deteriorating state, filled with water, sewage, and litter.

According to NeedToKnow, the alarming discovery was made at the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, located in Hunan Province, China. This park is famous for its stunning pillar-like mountains that closely resemble the floating Hallelujah Mountains seen in James Cameron’s Avatar.

Footage taken from inside one of the park’s stalactite caves reveals severe pollution, with murky water, floating litter, and signs of structural damage. Officials from Cili County suspect the pollution is the result of long-term illegal sewage discharge, allegedly by nearby local farmers.

Investigators discovered plastic bottles inside the cave with production dates going as far back as 2015, indicating that the contamination may have been ongoing for nearly a decade.

A British Airways steward was found dancing naked in a business class toilet mid-flight, sparking shock among crew and passengers. The bizarre incident occurred during a flight from San Francisco to London while the aircraft was cruising at 30,000 feet.

Sources say the steward was suspected of using drugs prior to the incident. He was meant to be serving meals to passengers when colleagues noticed he had gone missing.

Concerned crew members began searching the plane and were stunned when the inflight service manager discovered him completely naked and dancing in the Club World (business class) restroom.

He was quickly dressed in a spare pair of First Class pyjamas and escorted to the First Class cabin, where he was strapped into a luxury seat for the remainder of the ten-and-a-half hour flight.

Upon arrival at Heathrow Airport at 11 a.m. on Sunday, police were waiting on the tarmac after being alerted by British Airways management. The steward, who reportedly required medical attention, was taken off the plane in a wheelchair.

The Airbus A380-800 was carrying approximately 470 passengers and crew. Fellow staff were left frustrated as they had to work the entire flight without breaks to cover his duties.

British Airways has since suspended the steward pending a full investigation into the incident.

A man named Lawrence Campbell has come forward with a shocking story about how he missed out on claiming his $3.6 million lottery winnings after losing his wallet and ID—allegedly to his longtime girlfriend, Krystal McKay.

Lawrence said he had purchased the winning lottery ticket, but after the win, Krystal disappeared and claimed the prize for herself.

According to Lawrence’s lawyer, who spoke to CTV News, he had trusted Krystal completely, as they were in a loyal and committed relationship and had been living together for over a year and a half.

His lawyer added: “He set out to visit a few of her known spots where she would party and sure enough after some investigation, he found her; in bed, with another guy.

“She ghosted him, refused to take his calls or answer his messages, she blocked him on her social media accounts; and even took out a protection order.”
