Rare 53-Year-Old Porsche 911S Targa Found Rotting — Now for Sale at £50,000

A rare 1972 Porsche 911S Targa, valued at around £50,000, has been discovered in a severely decayed state, shocking car enthusiasts.

The classic car, now 53 years old, was originally finished in blue with a black interior. However, the vehicle was recently found covered in rust, with its body panels and undercarriage visibly corroded.

According to its listing, It states: ” This is a highly collectable year for the classic 911 and a sought-after S model wearing an excellent factory colour.

“Just out of long-term ownership and unearthed after being hidden away and out of sight for decades.

“Not currently running and has rust as it has been sitting for many years.

“The ideal original candidate for a complete restoration.

“A project well worth the effort, as it’s not every day that you come across a matching number 72′ 911S in Gemini blue.”

Porsche first launched the 911 Targa in 1965.

At the time, it was a brand-new model and sold for around £10,000.
