I Was Terrified on the Runway– Aussie Transgender Model Stuns in Bikini at Miami Fashion Week
Aussie transgender model Riley Minford made her international runway debut on Sunday during Miami Fash Week.
The Sydney-based model shared that walking in the show was a dream come true.
Speaking to The Daily Telegioraph, she said: “I was absolutely terrified but I got on that runway and ate it up

She also revealed that her love for fashion began when she used to strut around in her mother’s shoes as a young boy—long before landing one of the most iconic modeling gigs in the world, ‘Oh Polly’
She said: “It felt so special being flown across the world to walk and I hope I did my duty”
She rose to prominence in the fashion world following last year’s landmark moment when Valentina Sampaio and Alex Consani became the first transgender women to walk the Victoria’s Secret runway.
Recalling his childhood and the struggles of growing up as a boy while grappling with his gender identity, he shared to Beauticate saying: “In (primary school), I didn’t want to sit with the boys, but I wasn’t allowed to go with the girls, even though I knew that was the side I was meant to be on.
“It wasn’t even so much the response from the other kids, as it was how awful I felt within myself, and not being able to express my own identity.”
