Two Inmates Sentenced After CCTV Shows Them Smirking While Fatally Attacking Fellow Prisoner Till he Died

Disturbing footage has gone viral showing the moment a 19-year-old inmate, Ashirie Smith, smirked as he left his cell to brutally murder another prisoner inside HMP Leicester.
Smith was captured on CCTV stepping out of his cell shirtless, moments before launching a fatal attack on 31-year-old Mahir Abdulrahman. Smith stamped repeatedly on Abdulrahman’s head and neck inside his cell, leaving him with devastating injuries.

A female prison officer later found Abdulrahman unconscious and severely injured. He was rushed to the hospital, where he suffered a cardiac arrest at around 7:45 a.m. and tragically died an hour later.
A post-mortem examination revealed that Abdulrahman died from a subarachnoid basal hemorrhage—bleeding in a critical area of the brain.

The court heard that tensions between the inmates escalated after Abdulrahman, who had been subjected to ongoing taunts from Smith and another inmate, Thierry Robinson, retaliated by throwing hot water from a kettle at them.

The CCTV footage showed Robinson smirking in the corridor outside Smith’s cell just before the attack. After entering Abdulrahman’s cell, both Smith and Robinson calmly walked out 37 seconds later, leaving him fatally injured. Smith briefly re-entered the cell before exiting again, having carried out the deadly assault.
At Leicester Crown Court, Ashirie Smith was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 17 and a half years. Thierry Robinson, 21, was found not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 11 years in prison.

Detective Inspector Mark Parish of the East Midlands Special Operations Unit commented on the case, stating: “The injuries suffered by Mahir Abdulrahman showed a serious, sustained attack had taken place which ultimately led to his death.
“Thanks to the hard work of the investigation team, Smith and Robinson have been convicted in court and will now have to face responsibility for their actions”

Father and Son Mauled to D£ath by B£ar While Fetching Firewood in the Forest

What was meant to be a day of bonding turned into a devastating tr*gedy for a father and his son in Chhattisgarh, eastern India.
Suklal Darro, 45, and his 22-year-old son, Ajju Kureti, had ventured into the Kanker forest to gather firewood when they encountered a wild bear, believed to be infected with rabies.

A video circulating online captured the moment a forest guard, Narayan Yadav, courageously intervened to save the duo. Yadav could be heard shouting “Don’t run away!” as he tried to distract the bear.
Tragically, the bear turned on Yadav, launching a savage attack. The footage shows the animal pinning him to the ground, digging its massive paws into his chest and biting him viciously on the neck, face, and torso.
Though Yadav miraculously survived, he was left with severe injuries and is currently hospitalized in critical condition.
Sadly, Darro and Kureti did not survive the attack. Mr. Darro passed away en route to the hospital, while his son, Ajju, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Forest officials suspect the bear was suffering from rabies, which could explain the unusually aggressive behavior.

Iran Retaliates with Missile Strikes on U.S. Bases in Qatar and Iraq

Tensions in the Middle East have escalated as Iran launched a retaliatory missile attack, firing 10 missiles at U.S. military bases located in Qatar and Iraq. The strikes come in response to actions and remarks made by Donald Trump.
One of the primary targets was the Al-Udeid Air Base, situated near Doha, Qatar — the largest U.S. military installation in the Middle East.
Following the attack, Bahrain — home to the U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet headquarters — temporarily suspended flights in its airspace. This mirrored Qatar’s own precautionary airspace lockdown, which took place shortly before the missile strike.
In a statement, the Qatari government condemned the attack on Al-Udeid Air Base but confirmed that its defense systems successfully intercepted the incoming missiles. Authorities reported no casualties or injuries, and added that Qatar’s airspace has since been declared safe.

U.S. Revokes All Visas Held by South Sudanese Nationals

The Trump administration has revoked all U.S. visas held by South Sudanese nationals, citing Sudan’s failure to cooperate with the repatriation of its citizens.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio made the announcement on Saturday, describing the decision as part of the administration’s broader effort to tighten immigration enforcement.
In a press release, Rubio stated: “Effective immediately, the United States Department of State is taking actions to revoke all visas held by South Sudanese passport holders and prevent further issuance to prevent entry into the United States by South Sudanese passport holder.
“Every country must accept the return of its citizens in a timely manner when another country, including the United States, seeks to remove them,”
He added: “Our efforts to engage diplomatically with the South Sudanese Government have been rebuffed.
“Effective immediately, all visa appointments are cancelled, no new visas will be issued, no existing visas will be effective, and hence NO ONE from South Sudan will be entering the United States on a visa until this matter is resolved,”
