15-Year-Old Footballer Atziri Ledif Galeana Valencia Dies During Match

A heartbreaking incident occurred in Mexico over the weekend as 15-year-old footballer, Atziri Ledif Galeana Valencia, tragically passed away during a girls’ football tournament final.

Atziri, who was playing for Chivas LCZ against Toriz, collapsed in the 72nd minute of the match. The tournament took place under extreme heat conditions, with temperatures soaring above 34°C (93°F) amid an ongoing heatwave.

According to NeedToKnow, emergency efforts were immediately made to revive her, including CPR, oxygen, and cold compresses, but tragically, she did not survive.

Her death is suspected to have been caused by a stroke triggered by the intense heat.
