Chris Brown Arrested, Accused of Nightclub Attack, Faces $16 Million Lawsuit

American singer Chris Brown has been arrested in Manchester over an alleged assault on music producer Abe Diaw. The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Thursday, May 15.

According to The Sun, the Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrest in a statement: ‘’He has been taken into custody where he remains.

“The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023.

“The investigation is being led by detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit”

According to Diaw, the incident happened around 3 a.m. at the trendy Tape nightclub.

Diaw claims that Brown hit him over the head with a bottle before punching and kicking him while he was on the ground. The alleged assault reportedly left him with injuries.

“He hit me over the head two or three times. My knee collapsed as well.” Abe told the SUN

Diaw claimed that when Brown allegedly struck him over the head with a bottle, He then punched and kicked him while he was on the ground.

Diaw says the attack left him badly injured. He was taken to the hospital and, after being discharged, needed crutches to walk.

As a result of the alleged assault, Diaw has filed a civil lawsuit against Chris Brown, seeking $16 million (approximately £12 million) in damages for the injuries and losses he claims to have suffered.
