Horror as Monitor Lizard Devours New Born Baby

A heartbreaking and disturbing incident occurred in Thailand today after a monitor lizard was discovered carrying the remains of a newborn baby in its mouth.

According to reports, the large reptile was seen roaming through a grassy wasteland in Samut Prakan province, with the infant’s body partially visible in its jaws. Startled by the horrific sight, nearby residents quickly alerted authorities.

Animal control officers and paramedics rushed to the scene, only to find the lizard gnawing on the remains in the tall, thick grass. When they attempted to capture the animal, it escaped by leaping over a fence and disappearing from sight.

A volunteer rescuer , Chaiwat Boonmee who arrived at the scene said: “The monitor lizard had dragged the baby’s body under a nearby house, making it difficult to recover the remaining parts.

“The rest of the body was handed over to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.

A eyewitness who was at the scene said: “At first, I thought the monitor lizard had caught a fish. But upon closer inspection, I saw that it was actually a baby’s body and quickly called for help

“I felt sick to my stomach because the baby had been torn to pieces by the animal

Authorities have launched an investigation after a newborn baby was reportedly killed and devoured the reptile.
