According to prosecutors, Carwyle had been harassing the actress over a two-year period, from May 1, 2023, to May 5, 2025. During that time, he allegedly sent her numerous unwanted messages via email and voice recordings.

His wife, Julia Crawley, also spoke with DailyMail, revealing that her husband has been battling serious mental health issues. She disclosed that he had made three separate trips in a bid to meet the actress.

Julia added that the last time she saw him was in September, when he set off for California on what she described as another “odyssey” to find Aniston. At the time of his arrest, Aniston was reportedly inside her $21 million home, though the two never came face-to-face.

He said: “He went to California six months ago

“He left in September and went and I haven’t seen him since he left. He was leaving that day to go.

“He was going there because he was going to meet up with Jennifer. He was going to go see her.

“He actually thought he was going to meet Jennifer. I guess he was speaking with her. He had the impression that Jennifer Aniston and he were going to talk and meet.

“So naturally he’s doing what anybody would do – he went across the country.’

“He thought Maybe she’s just going to meet a guy… to take a chance

“That’s the way he was thinking.

She also revealed that her husband had previously attempted to meet the actress on two separate occasions before the final incident that led to his arrest.

Speaking about his violent intrusion into Aniston’s hilltop mansion, Julia said: “I think he probably got a little aggravated because he could not meet her”

“We had been split up for a while and I was thinking, well, if you want to go meet, all power to you, but it’s not going to work.

“I just couldn’t believe any of this.”

Speaking about his photos of him during the court appearance, she said: “This isn’t him. It doesn’t even look like him. He’s not there.

“It’s something that’s between him and his maker. Mental illness is real. It does not discriminate. He’s going through a lot right now.

“He believes he was Jesus Christ and that she was supposed to be his queen.

“His mentality is nothing like it used to be. Something has triggered him. I don’t know if he’s having a midlife crisis or what.”

It was also revealed that Jimmy had made several disturbing posts on social media, referring to Jennifer Aniston as his “bride.” In one post from October, he even called her “Jennifer Aniston Carwyle,” implying they were married.

During his arraignment, Judge Keith L. Schwartz expressed concern over Carwyle’s mental state, especially after noticing that the defendant appeared confused and possibly unable to understand the proceedings. This concern was raised after a prosecutor requested a protective order to keep Carwyle away from Aniston.

A stay-away order was granted by the court, legally barring Carwyle from making any contact with the actress or approaching her property.

The judge also ruled that Carwyle would be evaluated through mental health court to determine if he is mentally competent to stand trial.

His attorney, Deputy Public Defender Toral Malik, stated that they are currently focusing on his psychological evaluation and ensuring he receives proper care: “I don´t believe him staying away from Ms Aniston will be an issue at this time.

‘”You are not to have any contact with Jennifer Aniston under any conditions”  the judge said.

Jimmy, who is still in jail, has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Jennifer.

Judge Schwartz set his bail at $150,000 and scheduled the next hearing for May 22 at the Mental Health Court in Hollywood.
