I Wish I Never Did It : 18-Year-Old Social Media Star Opens Up About Facial Redness After Fillers

Charlie, an 18-year-old social media influencer, has shared how getting facial fillers left him with serious skin issues and long-term regrets.

In an interview with Hooked on the Look, Charlie revealed he spent around £20,000 on fillers, a decision he now says ruined his face. He explained that the fillers triggered severe psoriasis, causing his face to become red and inflamed, and even led to his skin peeling across parts of his body.

Charlie got his first filler treatment at just 16 years old.

He said: “I was 16 when i first got fillers,  I had around 50 injections in my face and my chin, lips and cheeks

“I had 18 lip injections within the space of 2months at one point there were all under an Inflnecer contract which basically meant that she gave me the fillers for free in excahang for social media exposure but they all worth around £20k 

When asked when he first realized something was wrong with his fillers, Charlie said, “3 months after having my first rounds of fillers, I noticed that it was little like spots on my face just there and it is so weird when I was seen by a dermatologist, they took one look and they said this is psoriasis.

“Then when i told them i had fillers, it was automatically clear I had an allergy to the filler all together i have spent about £5k-£6k on skincare to help my psoriasis”

“It gradually got worse over a couple of months until my face turned completely red, you could not see my natural skin color Talking about how he felt looking at himself in the mirror, Charlie shared,: “I tended to not look in the mirror when my skin is red and sore coz it is just made me cry, made me upset It was a soul crushing experience even walking down the streets, kids would stare it is horrific you couldn’t wear makeup, It was honestly the worst experience of my life”

When asked if he had any regrets about getting fillers, Charlie admitted, “Absolutely, I wish I never ever touched filler”
