Video goes viral as Freshman Proposes to Girlfriend During Her Matriculation Ceremony

A romantic (and slightly dramatic) moment has taken social media by storm after a freshman at a Nigerian university proposed to his girlfriend during her matriculation ceremony.

In the video shared online, the young man is seen kneeling inside a heart-shaped ribbon on the floor, holding a bouquet of flowers. A crowd of students surrounds the couple, cheering loudly as the girl walks up to him, accepts the ring, and says “Yes.” The couple then embraces and shares a kiss, much to the excitement of the onlookers.
