Francine Washington, a staff member at the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA), told colleagues during the meeting that she “needed to get laid.”

According to a report from the Office of the Inspector General, Washington made sexually explicit remarks in front of co-workers. While the report didn’t name her directly, she later confirmed to the Chicago Tribune that she was the person involved.

“I tell on myself all the time……..If I say something, I mean what I said, and I’m not going to say something and then deny it.”

Although the report doesn’t provide a detailed account of the incident, it notes that in January 2023, allegations were received claiming someone “may have communicated inappropriately with multiple employees in public forums.”

In her defense, Francine Washington explained that she made the comment out of frustration, after a CHA lawyer had been complaining about her.

“I said, I need to go home and get laid. The statement had no sexual connotations against anyone and was not as bad as what she [he attorney said”

“I didn’t do anything wrong.” Washington told the Tribune.

It could be recalled that Francine was appointed to the Chicago Housing Authority Board of Commissioners back in June 2014. She also serves as the President of the Central Advisory Council and the Washington Park Local Advisory Committee, and holds positions on several other prestigious boards.
