Heartbroken Mum Dies 11 Days After Her 20-Year-Old Son Was Murdered

A Georgia community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of a mother who died just days after her 20-year-old son was murdered.

Tasha Lawson, a devoted mother from Waycross, Georgia, passed away in the hospital from heart-related complications—just 11 days after her son, Tee’Andrick Lawson, was tragically killed in a home invasion.

According to family members, Tee’Andrick was murdered when two men broke into his home while Tasha was away. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating the case but has yet to release further details regarding the suspects or motive.

Ware County Coroner David Jordan told WTOC that Tasha’s official cause of death was an aortic dissection rupture, hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease—serious heart conditions. 

 They described Tasha and Tee’Andrick as “inseparable.”

In a Gofundme created by Lawson’s family, it reads: “With broken hearts, we share the tragic loss of Tee’Andrick Lawson, a loving, funny, and free-spirited young man whose life was taken far too soon in a senseless act of violence. He was the kind of person who lit up every room — full of laughter, energy, and warmth. Tee’Andrick and his mother were inseparable.

“Their bond was deep and unbreakable — best friends who did everything together. The pain of losing her son was too much for her heart to bear, and just days later, she passed away from sheer heartbreak. This double loss has left their family shattered, so forgive me if I don’t have the proper words to say! We’re asking for your support to help give the love-filled farewell we deserve.
