A woman named Caroline has come forward to share a deeply personal account of how she believes her involvement in witchcraft negatively impacted her life.
Caroline says that instead of bringing her any benefits, her alleged initiation into witchcraft has left her with nothing to show for it and has actually made her life worse than before. She reveals that she has lost everything.
Once a journalist, Caroline had a career that allowed her to interview many well-known figures, including celebrities and entrepreneurs. However, she believes her life took a dark turn when she unknowingly interviewed what she now identifies as evil spirits.
She said to afrimax : “I was opportune to to interview some musicians in kenya, tanzania, uganda let me just say east africa, nigeria congo, central africa, you know UK, US you name it all musicians used to come to kenya, i used to be given the opportunity to interview them due to my unique skills and i thank God for that so i did the interviews and also did exclusive interviews at the same time, i was also opportune to be assigned interviews with them, Since i was daring, I was assigned to interview witchdoctors , Morticians, Mortuary attendants and evil spirits because then most of my colleagues were scared but i was daring so i remember at some point during my first interview i was able to speak with evil spirits.
“I remember on the first interview, I was with my colleague and we went there into witchdoctors then it was so scary, it was somewhere within east lands and it was very huge, so the first thing i saw was 7 pots full of blood and i asked the witch doctor what was the purpose of the blood and he told me that it was a food for the evil spirits I didn’t quite understand and then, I wanted to know where the blood were from animals or what type?? I didn’t know what i was getting myself into but he told me that the blood are from animals I didn’t know it and i didn’t want to dwell into it but all i did was i saw the pots were seven and then they had huge straws inside the pot full of blood so I Inquired then he told me that the evil spirits used the straws to drink blood from the pots so i didn’t want to say much and then he showed brief cases full of money a thousand notes they were millions actually
“So i remember after this interview, before i we began the interview, I was a bit scared so the witchdoctor requested that we go back home and come back after 1 week so we went and came back after 1 week later, so upon arrival, we were ready so his goals was to entice the evil spirits, It was so scary but i don’t know it was too late, we could not just change our mind because we were already there, me and the photographer so he began enticing the evil spirits by burning incense chanting rituals and using hand bills
“So as the spirits were coming the witch doctor lost control or rather he was still, he went still he went like a dead person and then we were there and we were so scared with the photographer and i remember we kept holding hands because there was no way of escaping we were already locked inside there with the evil spirits and the man was still the man we were talking to was already still so we were just there waiting for the worst probably to happen so i remember when they came in the first one came in when the first one came in they were speaking pure kswahili not english but pure kswahili and wa sjust saying “Tuko hapa mwanangu” meaning “Here I am my daughter” that was what they said the first one, the second one the third one when the fifth one came in I lost my memory then the sixth one and then the seventh one they were able to restore back my memory these are evil spirits so they can do anything
“So i remember my meory was restored back, I could hardly speak because i was scared, My colleague was not even saying anything we just kept holding each other hands and then when i got the courage i remember asking them their role and they quoted the verse in the bible which says: “Kill, steal and destroy” and i was even more scared and then i inquired from them where they came from where they live and why they had to take too long, they told me the reson why they took too long after being enticed is because they were coming from various oceans they lived in the oceans……. so they mentioned Indian ocean, Pacific ocean and Atlantic ocean and arctic ocean but they were five oceans that they mentioned
“So they told me when they are being enticed, they come from there and come and drink the blood and then go to various countries then they told us you see human beings and you want to go to the US or the UK you take like more than 10 hours like indian for instance you take 7 hours by flight but them they say they take 5 minutes to fly to any country they have been assigned to after taking what they came for they made a sacrifice and then they go and enter into that person and then they bring that person home that is when you see somebody disappears for 10years and then comes back home after 10years they told me they have been assigned to do that so they do that on regular basis
“They requested that they want to talk to my late father and i said the bible tells us there is no connection between the living and the dead and then they requested if i would talk to any of my late relatives i said no and then the photographer was just quiet at that time i think he was shocked so after the interview i remember he reqested to take photos of the evil spirits and they agreed so he took pictures as we were looking at the camer it was a quality camera we could just see bones like skeletons that was what we saw so we could hardly understand so we continued taking pictures of the skeletons, he was excited and then by the time the evil spirits were done I inquired from them alot of things they were alot of stuffs like that and then they warned me not to write anything negative about them or they would come for me to know where to get me that is what they told me and i said i would never do that
“So i remember after the interview when the spirits began leaving there were no need to entice them because they were already been enticed so they were just leaving and we could hear the sound of bell like a bell ringing like somebody ringing a bell and they leave one by one”
She explained that her life took a turn for the worse after an experience.
She added: “I Remember at upon leaving, the pictures disappeared from the camera shock on me shock on my colleague, we dont know what we are going to tell the company because the pictures were there they were skeletons then they disappeared so i didn’t know so i was shocked so after that, I developed complications, health issues, i had severe headaches I was not okay at all I was critically ill and my colleague too, so i decided to go to a nearest church upon leaving the witch doctors then, my colleague I think he didn’t believe in all those things so he said he didn’t see the need to go to a pastor but me i went and i remember the pastor prayed for me and then i told the pastor i have had an encounter with the evil spirits and he prayed for me, deliverance was conducted and i think that somehow saved my life and as of that, I still underwent and i have been undergoing deliverance sessions and prayers with more than 50 pastors in different churches
“My colleague did not see the need of going to a church or prayers, 6 months later one day when i was walking in town i remembered someone tapped by back and when i turned it was a witch doctor and he told me the evils spirits are very excited with the story, i remember when the story came out when it was published it sold thousands of copies like never before and they told me that I would sell the evil spirits so after the witch doctor tapped me on the back I had to go for deliverance appropriate sessions again, My colleague refused, 6 months down the line, he died I remembered he fell ill and died so me i think i am alive by the grace of God after that, even when i got to my house I could hardly sleep because i could hear things waling in my compound, within my bedroom, my house, i was not just okay things were just walking, funny sounds i didnt understand, i used to go for prayers but things were not just working for me so well”

They were about 30 on okada chasing me — Driver recounts how he escaped while travelling on Lagos–Port Harcourt route
A Nigerian driver identified as Sunday has narrated how he survived a violent attack while travelling from Lagos to Port Harcourt.
Speaking in an interview shared by TikTok user @CPO OMoghene, Sunday explained that he drives for a living and was on duty when the incident occurred.
He said the trouble began when he attempted to bypass traffic along the Benin–Warri route. According to him, he noticed a minor traffic buildup before suddenly hearing a loud impact, as though another vehicle had struck his car.
Curious about what happened, he said he stepped out to check his vehicle, only to be confronted by a group of okada riders allegedly carrying weapons.
He explained that the situation escalated quickly, forcing him to flee for safety.
When asked about his reaction during the chaos, he said: “For this Benin, I don’t know anywhere na to pass and go and deliver my vehicle or I’m finding police station maybe I can see police station to enter.”
He also stated that he did not see any police checkpoint at the time of the incident.
Asked how many people were involved, he responded: “Like 30 or 30 something people with Okada.”
Sunday further claimed that he was eventually caught, beaten, and that his vehicle was damaged during the attack.
When asked if he owned the vehicle, he clarified: “It is not my own, it is company motor.”
Despite the ordeal, he said he was able to escape with help from a Good Samaritan who intervened at a critical moment.
Describing his survival, he said: “It is one brother that God sent to me he helped me that yesterday unless they would have killed me but I thank God that God send people to come and help me.”
The incident has raised concerns over road safety and security along major routes, as motorists continue to call for improved protection on highways.

Moment man escapes assailants after being attacked at midnight in a club in Surulere, Lagos
A man has taken to social media to recount a frightening experience after he was allegedly attacked by a group of assailants outside a club in Surulere.
According to the victim, the incident occurred at about 1 a.m. while he and his friends were seated together discussing sales plans ahead of the Sallah celebrations.
He explained that he became suspicious after noticing a man repeatedly moving around the area. Moments later, the same individual reportedly returned with another man, and the pair allegedly began chasing and attacking him.
The situation reportedly changed when his friends noticed what was happening and rushed to intervene, confronting the suspected attackers and forcing them to flee.
Despite the violent encounter, the victim revealed that none of his belongings were taken. According to him, both of his mobile phones and the money he had on him remained untouched.
The man believes the attack may have been targeted rather than a robbery attempt because his valuables were left
He also disclosed that he has reported the matter to the police and is appealing to members of the public who may recognize the individuals involved to come forward with useful information.

Kenyan Police Officer Dies During Childbirth Two Years After Losing Her Two Sons
A Kenyan police officer, Louis Aoko Ogony from Migori County, has sadly died while giving birth, just two years after surviving a tragic accident that claimed the lives of her two young sons and younger sister.
According to reports, Ogony passed away on April 23, 2026, after undergoing a Caesarean section at Nakuru Specialist Hospital, where she had been admitted for delivery.
Family members disclosed that a post-mortem examination later determined that she died as a result of a pulmonary embolism, a serious condition caused by a blockage in one of the arteries in the lungs.
The tragedy was made even more heartbreaking as her newborn baby girl also reportedly did not survive.

As the condition progressed, her health reportedly deteriorated further. The family said she began showing signs of rapid aging and eventually became unable to walk.
Khoza stated that doctors informed her she could be suffering from a rare genetic disorder for which there is currently no known cure. She also claimed that medical professionals told her it was the first case of its kind they had encountered locally.
In their search for answers, the family also consulted traditional healers. According to Khoza, some practitioners suggested that the illness could be linked to “ilumbo,” a term used in some communities to describe a spiritual affliction or curse believed to originate from a former partner. However, she said none of the treatments recommended have improved her condition.

Congolese man accused of stealing dies after being restrained by security guards In Ireland
A Congolese national has died after being restrained by security guards outside a department store in Dublin, Ireland, following an alleged shoplifting incident.
The man, identified as Yves Sakila, aged 35, was pronounced dead in hospital after the confrontation outside Arnotts on Friday afternoon.
Footage circulating online reportedly shows him being pinned to the ground by several men for nearly five minutes. During the restraint, one guard appeared to place a knee on his upper back or neck area while bystanders, including families with children, watched the scene unfold.
Witnesses said Sakila could be heard shouting while security guards instructed him to “stay down.” After several minutes, he reportedly became unresponsive, at which point the guards released him. One security worker was later seen visibly shaken while making a phone call.
Irish police confirmed that security staff detained the man shortly after 5 p.m. in connection with the alleged theft. He later lost consciousness at the scene and was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
