I would have made sure Nigerians did not suffer- Former Nigerian President-Goodluck Jonathan Expresses Regret

Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed sorrow over his inability to fully alleviate Nigeria’s challenges during his time in office.

He made the emotional remark on Sunday night at an event held in his honor during the prestigious Sunhak Peace Prize ceremony.

The event was organized by Professor Robert Azibaola and several close associates of the former president.

He said: ““I always feel sad when I see people suffering. I also went through suffering as a child because of my humble background,” 

“If I had the means, I would have made sure no Nigerian suffers. But it’s not that easy. It’s not possible—even for a president.”
