Influencer Sentenced to 2 Years in Prison and Banned from Owning Dogs After Abusing His Pet

French influencer Germain R., known online as Rop, has been sentenced to two years in prison for the abuse and mistreatment of his dogs, following shocking revelations about the condition of his American Staffordshire Terrier named Texas.

The arrest came after concerned friends visited Rop’s home, which he shared with his girlfriend, Rocka, and were disturbed by what they found. Texas was discovered tied under a staircase, with no blanket or water bowl, showing clear signs of neglect and abuse.

One witness reported that Texas had been beaten multiple times, and authorities later confirmed that the dog had visible cheek wounds and burn marks consistent with cigarette burns.

Rop was sentenced on March 28th in Versailles, France. His two-year sentence includes one year of jail time and one year of house arrest, during which he will wear an electronic ankle monitor. In addition, he has been permanently banned from owning animals.

Rocka, his girlfriend, was also found guilty of depriving the dog of food and care. She received a fine as part of her sentence.
