Mother of Two Cries Out As Boyfriend Dumps Her After Taking a Loan To Fund His Education

A Tanzanian woman, Getrude Yohana, has opened up about the painful betrayal she experienced after supporting her boyfriend financially—only to be dumped after he landed a job.

Getrude, a mother of two, revealed that during their relationship, she took out a loan to pay her boyfriend Ramadhani’s university tuition, which cost TZS 3.5 million (approximately ₦2.8 million).

Despite the financial burden, she stood by him, and the two lived together as a couple.

However, shortly after Ramadhani secured a job at a bank, he ended the relationship.

Speaking to AyoTV, Getrude shared that their love story began in 2009 when Ramadhani was still a high school student. They dated for two years before moving in together in 2011, even though they were struggling financially at the time. Ramadhani worked as a security guard back then.

She said: “I was a casual labourer then, and he worked as a security guard. He talked to me and said he wanted to go to university because he had passed his high school exams. I agreed.

“I went to my place of work and took a TZS 600,000 (KSh 28,990) loan for him to continue with his studies. All this while, I did extra jobs to provide for the family and even gave him money to print notes until he completed his studies,”

“He changed after a few months and began disrespecting me, saying he was tired of living with a class-seven dropout and a dark-skinned person because he had found someone of his league,”

Eventually, he kicked her and their two children out of the house. Left with no choice, Getrude took legal action and dragged him to court in a bid to ensure he fulfills his responsibilities as a father.

She added: “Even after the court ruled that he was supposed to provide some support for his children, he stopped and even accused me of stealing his household items,”

“I took him to the children’s office yet again, and after he was summoned, he threatened me, saying he would do something if I did not stop pestering him. I even went to his branch manager to talk to him, but it was all in vain,”

“The only strength I have left is to raise my children. I don’t want him back. I hope authorities can help me because he has threatened me several times and keeps taking me to the police station, wasting my time,”

Her husband on his part defending himself, he said: “She did not have any job at that time, and I am not aware of any loans she took out on my behalf. If she did, then she did not tell me and did not show any documents to prove that,”

The Nigerian Economy Has Turned Men Into Something Else, the Economy Is Affecting Relationships – Lady Laments Being Single for 4 Years

A Nigerian woman has shared her perspective on how the country’s economic situation is affecting relationships, saying the financial challenges many people are facing have changed the way some men approach dating.

In a video shared on X, the woman revealed that she has been single for the past four years despite receiving attention from men.

According to her, most of the men who approach her are either married or significantly older, a situation she said has left her wondering why she has been unable to find a suitable partner.

She explained that she once questioned whether something was wrong with her and even sought spiritual guidance through prayers before concluding that the issue was not personal.

The woman said she now believes that the country’s economic hardship has had a noticeable impact on relationships, with many people focusing more on survival than long-term commitment.

She said:

“I’ve been single for 4 good years now. I won’t say men don’t approach me, but the type of men that approach me are people’s husbands. Married men, older men.

“And I’m like what’s going on. I’m just in my twenties. Later I figured out that nothings wrong with me cause at some point I went for prayers. I’ve now noticed that a lot of men are going through a lot. This economy has turned men into something else. Nobody has time.

“Even the young ones that are coming to me, they’re like see let’s just do business. Nobody wants to be committed again. Some men have even turned to Agege. There’s this guy I know he looks completely normal but this guy’s pure Agege. The economy is really messing up with people. It takes the grace of God to see a good man no”

Real Estate Agent Arrested 13 Years After Woman Was Stabbed More Than 100 Times

A Texas real estate agent, Mayra Velasquez, 42, has been arrested in connection with the 2012 killing of Irasema Chavez, a case that remained unsolved for more than a decade before investigators uncovered new evidence through advanced DNA technology.

Mayra Velasquez

Authorities confirmed that Velasquez was taken into custody on July 17 and booked into the Tarrant County Corrections Center. She is currently being held without bond while legal proceedings move forward.

Follow the Elizabethblog channel on WhatsApp: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbDQN5lI1rcbSgriLG2M

The investigation dates back to January 20, 2012, when Chavez was discovered dead inside her apartment after suffering more than 100 stab wounds in what investigators described as an extremely violent attack.

Irasema Chavez

When officers arrived at the scene, they found no signs of forced entry. This led detectives to believe that the victim may have known the person responsible or had willingly allowed them into her home before the attack occurred.

One of the few clues available at the time was surveillance footage captured the night before the killing. The video showed an unidentified person dressed in loose-fitting clothing and a hooded sweatshirt climbing the stairs to Chavez’s apartment. The individual was seen knocking on the door, briefly speaking with someone inside, and then entering the apartment.

Although investigators collected blood evidence at the crime scene that did not belong to the victim, DNA testing conducted at the time failed to identify a suspect because there were no matching profiles in existing law enforcement databases.

In an effort to solve the case, detectives submitted the DNA sample to Parabon NanoLabs in 2016. Scientists used forensic DNA analysis to predict the suspect’s likely physical characteristics, including ancestry, eye color, hair color, and skin tone, creating a genetic profile to assist the investigation.

The breakthrough came in 2024 when the Arlington Police Department partnered with the FBI Dallas Field Office to apply Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG)—a technique that combines crime scene DNA with publicly available genealogy records and family history research to identify potential suspects.

After nearly two years of additional investigative work, authorities developed new evidence that ultimately led to Velasquez’s arrest.

Investigators have not disclosed the exact nature of the evidence that resulted in the arrest warrant, nor have they confirmed whether it included a direct DNA match. Officials have also not revealed whether Velasquez and Chavez had any prior relationship.

Velasquez remains in custody without bond, and court officials have not yet announced the date of her first court appearance.

As the legal process continues, investigators are expected to release additional details about the evidence that brought the 13-year-old homicide investigation to this stage.

He Told Me, You Better Not Hang Up This Phone – Blac Chyna Sues Ex-Boyfriend, Says She No Longer Feels Safe

Reality television personality and entrepreneur Blac Chyna has made fresh allegations against her former partner, Twin Hector, claiming he repeatedly contacted her after their relationship ended and refused to accept that they had broken up.

According to newly filed court documents obtained by TMZ, Chyna alleged that Hector called her numerous times on April 28, 2026, during both the afternoon and evening hours.

Follow the Elizabethblog channel on WhatsApp: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbDQN5lI1rcbSgriLG2M

She claimed that when she eventually answered one of the calls, Hector remained on the phone with her for about 10 minutes while she stayed silent. During the conversation, Chyna alleged that he made comments that left her feeling threatened.

According to the court filing, Hector allegedly told her:

“So you can run as long as you want, but you’re never gonna be able to hide from me.”

Chyna further claimed that he also warned her not to end the call, allegedly saying:

“You better not hang up this phone.”

She alleged that Hector insisted he had the right to keep calling her even if she no longer wanted any contact with him.

In the legal documents, Chyna described Hector’s behavior as “fixated, possessive and unwilling to accept that our relationship ended.” She said his alleged actions left her “extremely frightened,” adding that she feared he could locate and potentially harm her or members of her family.

Chyna also alleged that on June 16, Hector sent her a message asking which city she was in, a communication she said further heightened her concerns for her safety.

Beyond the allegations of unwanted contact, Chyna claimed that false statements allegedly made by Hector have negatively affected her professional reputation and career.

She is asking the court to allow her countersuit against Hector to move forward while opposing his request to have the case dismissed.

The legal dispute stems from an earlier lawsuit filed by Twin Hector, in which he accused Chyna of assault and battery. Chyna has denied those allegations and responded by filing a countersuit, with both parties now continuing their legal battle in court.

Father Faces £970,000 Hospital Bill After Surviving Deadly Rattlesnake Bite Treated With 54 Vials of Anti-Venom

An Idaho father is counting himself lucky to be alive after surviving two bites from a venomous rattlesnake during a visit to family in Oroville, California. His recovery, however, has come at an enormous financial cost, with medical bills reaching nearly £970,000 before insurance.

The man, identified as Chris Howarth, was reportedly bitten after accidentally stepping on what he initially believed was a plant hidden in the shadows. Instead, it was a rattlesnake, which struck him twice.

Although Chris initially survived the attack, his condition worsened three days later when he developed disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), a rare but life-threatening condition that causes the body’s blood-clotting system to become dangerously overactive.

Doctors treated him with 54 vials of anti-venom as they worked to save his life.

Providing an update on his recovery, Chris’ wife, Jenny, said:

“Chris is feeling about 80%,”

“He still has some soreness and swelling in his leg, which gets worse with more activity.

“The worst part for him has been the lingering fatigue. He gets exhausted pretty easily.”

She described the emotional toll the incident had on their family, especially after Chris developed DIC.

Jenny said: “The whole incident was pretty scary for our family while he was in the hospital and his condition was so up and down.

“We all got scared one night when he went into DIC. That’s when things got scary.

“We are so glad to have him home and on the up and up.

“We’ve definitely learned not to take our time together as a family for granted. You never know when it can be your last day.”

Jenny also spoke about the family’s growing concern over the cost of Chris’ treatment despite having health insurance.

She said:

“He does have insurance and it’ll definitely cover some.

“We haven’t gotten our portion yet but the total from both hospitals that we have seen before insurance is about $1.3 million.

“The hospital had told us that anti-venom is about $13,000 a vial and he received 54 vials.

“Every time we were told he would need more, Chris felt stressed about the price, but we knew he needed it.

“Plus, per night in the ICU in Stanford, just having a room was $61,000

“Chris has been out of work since May 26 and he has not been getting paid the whole time.

“He used up his PTO and sick leave when he had surgery in January.

“So that has been stressful as well.

“Just knowing we have big medical bills coming and he hasn’t received a paycheck in over seven weeks has us stressed about the future.

“We are so grateful for those who have donated.”

Chris is now continuing his recovery at home, while his family hopes insurance and community support will help ease the financial burden created by the life-saving treatment.
