Floods hit streets in Spain days before Easter

Dramatic footage has emerged showing the streets of Lanzarote, Spain, submerged in floodwaters just days before the Easter celebrations.

The sudden downpour overwhelmed the area, leaving cars stranded and soaked, while several homes were flooded. The heavy rain began on Saturday afternoon and lasted for about two hours.

Several parts of the island, including Arrecife, Tahiche, Costa Teguise, Guatiza, and Nazaret, were hit hard by the rainfall.

As the flooding worsened, authorities urged both residents and tourists to avoid any unnecessary travel for their safety.
