Eliza Coupe Looks Unrecognizable at Netflix Movie Premiere, ‘The Residence’

Actress Eliza Coupe has sparked reactions after appearing nearly unrecognizable in public.

Her new look was revealed when she attended Netflix’s premiere of The Residence.

Last month, during an episode of The Funny Thing Is podcast, she shared that she turned to plant-based psychedelics to cleanse “toxic energy” following her 2018 divorce from ex-husband Darin Olien.

Coupe revealed that she had taken ayahuasca twice, explaining that during her second experience, she consumed four cups of the brew.

Sharing her experience, she said:”I started sobbing, and it was nuts,’ she recalled. ‘And then I got to see all the inner workings of myself.

“I look back at it now and am so grateful I did it, but it doesn’t call for me to do it again.”

Speaking about her struggle with her body and self-image, she said: “I was so broken, I couldn’t get fixed enough for the relationship because I had damaged it with my own s***

“Some may call it an eating disorder, I just call it my life.

“My drug of choice was always food. The reason I stopped drinking was because I got into a 12-step food program.

“I am grateful for all the tools I learned from it,’ Coupe acknowledged, but admitted her past struggles went beyond food restriction. 

“I would over-exercise, and there was a sprinkle of bulimia in there.”
