Popular Nickelodeon kid star, Michelle Trachtenberg is dead

Popular actress, Michelle Trachtenberg is dead.

She was reportedly found by her mother at approximately 8:00 AM on Wednesday at her residence at One Columbus Place, a luxury apartment building in Manhattan’s Central Park South.

Sources indicate that Michelle had undergone a liver transplant. When her mother found her, she was unresponsive.

While the cause of death is not currently considered suspicious, her body has been sent for an autopsy.

Michelle Trachtenberg began her career at the age of 9, gaining popularity on the Nickelodeon series “The Adventures of Pete and Pete,” where she played the memorable character Nona F. Mecklenberg.

She continued to work on children’s shows before making her film debut in 1996 with “Harriet the Spy,” playing the lead role.

As an adult, she transitioned to more mature roles, notably playing Dawn Summers, Buffy’s sister, on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” for three years, and the complex character Georgina Sparks on “Gossip Girl.”
