Man Stabbed While Rushing his Pregnant Wife to Hospital in South Africa

A tragic incident in Cape Town, South Africa, has left a family shattered after a man was brutally killed while trying to take his pregnant wife to the hospital.

The victim, identified as Talent Gono, and his wife, Lilian, were attacked outside their home by a gang of eight men. The assailants beat Talent before stabbing him in the chest and head as he was carrying his wife’s overnight bags to an Uber.

Lilian witnessed the horrific attack, and in shock, her water broke on the spot, forcing her to give birth right there.

Talent, a welder, had been saving money for three years to move back to Zimbabwe in April for a fresh start. His tragic death now leaves his wife alone with their five-year-old daughter, Mia, and their newborn baby.

Lilian, who worked as a maid, is now left to pick up the pieces of their lives. Her employer, Jeannie Ross, shared details of the heartbreaking ordeal, saying: “I got a voice message from Lilian screaming and sobbing in shock and confusion saying she had gone down to the Uber with Talent.

“A group of thugs attacked him in the dark beating him mercilessly and stabbed him in the head, stomach and chest leaving him in a pool of blood.

“Lilian tried to help but was overtaken by searing pain as her waters broke and lying there beside her dying husband she gave birth to their baby girl. Their babies first cry filled the night just as he took his last breath.

“Lilian now faces an unimaginable road ahead raising two children without the man who was their anchor so I am trying to raise funds to help.
