Man arrested for murdering his wife on Valentine’s Day after she expressed dissatisfaction with his gifts
A man has been accused of murdering his wife after being unsatisfied with her reaction to a romantic date.
Taylor Meyer was arrested after allegedly beating his wife, Deborah, with a wine bottle before fatally stabbing her.

The incident reportedly took place on Valentine’s Day when the 34-year-old planned a Paris-themed evening for his wife at their home in Jeffersonville, Indiana. At the time, their three children were asleep upstairs.
As part of the surprise, Meyer bought his wife a dress and prepared a special dinner. However, he later became enraged, accusing her of cheating with a co-worker after allegedly seeing photos of her holding another man’s hand.
During his arrest, Meyer confessed to killing his wife, claiming she had been unappreciative of his gifts. He admitted to first attacking her with a wine bottle before stabbing her with a kitchen knife.
According to WAVE, after the murder, he sent a message in the family group chat stating that Deborah was dead.
Meyer has pleaded not guilty to the murder charge and will remain in jail until his trial, scheduled for July 2025.
