Influencer Brittany Renner, who announced her conversion to Islam in August last year, is currently facing criticism online after posting a video many have described as “indecent.”

At the time, she explained that she had left Christianity and embraced Islam, describing the change as a personal journey toward spiritual growth and discipline.

A Nigerian man, Olubiyi Jibowu, has opened up about how a simple home procedure led to the tragic loss of both his legs.

According to Olubiyi, he had decided to soak his feet in a bath infused with Himalayan salt, unaware that the water was extremely hot. It wasn’t until he pulled his feet out that he noticed severe blisters had formed.

Rather than seeking immediate medical attention, he attempted to treat the burns himself using antiseptics like Dettol, hoping the wounds would heal on their own. However, the situation worsened as his skin began peeling off, and the wounds turned black, causing him excruciating pain.

Upon eventually going to the hospital, doctors informed him that he had undiagnosed diabetes — a condition that severely slowed his healing process. Despite the pain, Olubiyi continued walking three miles to work each day. Sadly, the infection worsened and developed into sepsis, a life-threatening condition, which ultimately led to the amputation of both his legs.

He said: “I initially thought, these are just blisters, they’ve peeled and they’re a bit sore”, Olubiyi said. “I didn’t want them to get infected, so I thought Dettol would make it better. That’s what my mum used to do. She would put a drop here and there, but I kept pouring it on.

“It was pain I can’t even describe. I’m a big guy, but it was just too much. The skin eventually shrivelled up and was just torn apart. It went all black. I could see the fragments of my bone structure on my feet.

“The left foot just wasn’t healing. I went to work one day and showed my manager, and she sent me home immediately. I called my sister, and I was in severe pain; she could hear it in my voice that I needed urgent help. My skin was falling off.

“I went to King’s Hospital in London, and I just thought, this will pass, it will get better – and it didn’t. I was in the hospital a bit longer than I thought I would be, and it was just me being wheeled around in a wheelchair. The moment I got there, I knew it was serious. It was rapidly deteriorating.

“They wrapped it up and pumped me full of antibiotics, but there was no healing.”

He added: ” was in a state of shock; my mind was all over the place. I didn’t want the consultant who talked about that anywhere near me. I really believed there could be a better solution, not amputation straight away. I said, ‘Are you telling me there’s no plan B to turn this around?’ I was just so taken aback.”

“The moment the amputation happened, it relieved the pain I was feeling, but I was struggling with acceptance.

“It’s really important to get it checked out as soon as you see anything that’s bloody or an open wound. The doctors have specific antibiotics that will get rid of the infection, and it’s much better to let a specialist handle it. If I had had a little bit of insight, if I knew I was diabetic, it would have alleviated everything I went through. It’s an adaptation, and it feels like life threw me a curveball.

“I’m going to be rational and positive, it’s going to be okay.”

He also revealed that he is raising funds for a lighter, high-quality titanium prosthetic leg. He explained that the advanced prosthetic would allow him to walk more comfortably, remain active, and regain a sense of independence in his daily life.

A 61-year-old grandfather, identified as La Noti, was found dead inside the stomach of a giant python.

According to reports, La Noti had gone out to feed his chickens when he was attacked by the reptile. Tragically, he had no weapon or means to defend himself and was overpowered and swallowed by the snake.

When family members noticed he hadn’t returned, they began searching for him. They found his motorbike abandoned near a road, raising alarm. Later that afternoon, villagers discovered a large python nearby with a noticeably swollen belly, lying in the undergrowth close to a garden hut.

Suspecting the worst, the villagers captured and k-lled the snake. To their horror, they found La Noti’s body intact inside the reptile’s stomach.

Police Chief Masud Gunawan later confirmed the incident saying: “The victim said goodbye to his family, saying he was going to feed his livestock, but he did not return home.

“The family and residents searched and found he had been swallowed by a large python. The family accepted the cause of death and prayed for their relative”
