According to his LinkedIn profile, Manzano began working with KGKC in April 2021. Before that, he moved to Topeka, Kansas, in 2018 and graduated from Kansas State University.
His final post on X featured a photo of Patrick Mahomes surrounded by reporters on Super Bowl opening night, with the caption: “Mahomes vs el Mundo”—which translates to “Mahomes vs. the world.”
Months after last year’s Super Bowl, his wife, Ashleigh Boyd, was killed in a car crash when another driver crossed the center line and struck their vehicle. The couple shared a one-year-old child, who is now left without both parents.
