Upcoming 17-Year-Old TikToker, Nahsiyah Turner is dead

Upcoming TikTok star Nahsiyah Turner has tragically passed away after being fatally shot outside a Southern California mall.  

The 17-year-old died from a gunshot wound to her chest during a shooting on January 18th.  

The incident occurred at the Los Cerritos Center shopping mall, where police arrived around 7:30 PM and found Turner unconscious in a vehicle. Paramedics assessed her condition, but she was unresponsive and not breathing. She was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after.  

Authorities are still investigating the shooting. Lt. Steve DeJong of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau told The Griffin Gazette, the student newspaper of Los Alamitos High School:  “Deputies from the Cerritos station responded to the parking lot of the Cerritos mall in regards to a gunshot victim call, When they got there, they observed a female juvenile, 17 years old, with a gunshot wound.” 

He added, “As far as the context and investigation, I can’t elaborate. This investigation is going to go on for a while.”
