Man Dies in Car Crash Days After Wife’s Baby Ultrasound and Baby Shower

A 25-year-old dad-to-be, Niccolò Mattia Coppola, has tragically died just days after his wife’s ultrasound scan of their unborn baby.  

Niccolò lost his life in a car accident on the morning of January 23 while driving to work. He reportedly lost control of his Alfa Romeo 147 and crashed into a lorry.  

Just five days prior to the tragedy, his wife, Siria, had shared ultrasound photos of their baby girl, Lilith, who is due in March. 

Siria captioned the post: “We already love you so much. Mummy and Daddy are eagerly waiting for you.”

The couple, who got married last year, were expecting their first child together when the heartbreaking incident occurred.  

Paying tribute to her husband on social media, Siria wrote: “I promise you I’ll always talk about you to our daughter, tell her how wonderful and special you were, and how much love you had to give to us, your family. 

“How you couldn’t wait to hold her and start this new chapter together.”
