Former President of US, Jimmy carter is dead

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States, has passed away at age 100.

The news of his death was confirmed by his son, Jimmy Carter III, in a statement to The Washington Post.

President Carter, who was the longest-living former president in U.S. history, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.  

It’s worth noting that in February 2023, Carter entered hospice care after experiencing being in and out of hopsital. Later, his grandson shared an update, revealing that the former president’s health had declined significantly, and he was often unable to stay awake everyday.
