I’m 44, Single, Never Married, and Child-Free—I’ve Found Peace in Being Alone

Luke Reid, a 44-year-old man, has shared on his YouTube channel that he is single, happy, and has no desire to have children or get married.

In his video, Luke explained that he has never been married and has never felt a longing or yearning for marriage or parenthood. He also shared that he has realized the concept of finding “the one” or settling down simply doesn’t appeal to him.

“I am single, I’m 44, I live alone, i have never been married i have no children and i have never had a desire to have children and that also applies to marriage, i have never had an yearning, aching and longing to get married and I think i have recently discovered that also applies to the concept of finding the right person finding the one settling down It is just not for me ……… It is not for everyone, i am somewhat a weird odd strange unique .” He said in a part

Luke emphasized that being alone is his preference and that he values his independence. He noted that while many people dislike or fear being alone, he finds comfort.

He added:”A lot of people hate dislike and fear being alone I prefer being alone it is my chosen being willing so living with someone vs living alone I prefer living alone 

“I like being alone and most people do not like being alone and i think there is a distinction to make a difference between being lonely and just being alone and being by yourself I think the difference is people who are lonely they want someone else around, the want some comfort they are looking for something or someone a kind of savior or solution really something to fill the void but me personally i don’t think there is a void as such im not looking for that kind of savior because i don’t feel there is such a thing in my life
